Gratitude and grace in solidarity with səlilwətaɬ, the People of the Inlet. I support the TWN Sacred Trust and the Narwhal, which wrote an excellent piece on səlilwətaɬ efforts to maintain cultural traditions in səl̓ilw̓ət “Burrard Inlet” after 100s of layers of ecocide + genocide.
Space to grow as an ally: people generally get the orthographies right for xʷməθkʷəy̓əm and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, but səlilwətaɬ is much more spottily correctly rendered in territorial acknowledgments.
